Worklife Solutions 

Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – Worklife Solutions provides you with free confidential, independent help, information and guidance on both the everyday challenges that life puts in front of you and the less predictable crisis which we can all face from time to time 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

My Healthy Advantage  

The My Healthy Advantage app gives you access to a variety of features aimed at supporting both your mental and physical health. There is lots of information available to you on the app – for example, you can complete a mini health check or follow one of the specially designed plans aimed at improving your health. Financial Wellbeing Benefit

Your Wellbeing Hub
 

Provided by AXA, Your Wellbeing Hub is the place to go for great advice and support that will help you manage your health better and gives you quick and easy access just when you need it. Members can access a wide range of services, which include:

  • Doctor@Hand – access to unlimited consultations with a GP via phone or video available 24/7 from anywhere around the world

  • Working Body – if you are suffering from a muscle, bone or joint problems, you can speak to an expert who can recommend you for the appropriate treatment without the need for a GP referral

  • Stronger Minds – get fast access to the appropriate care if you are suffering from any mental health concerns, speak to an expert in the Stronger Minds team who will listen to your concerns and suggest a suitable treatment plan

  • Cancer Pathways – use the specialist pathways that are in place for the detection of breast, skin or prostate cancer that give you a quick diagnosis and provide you with support during this worrying time.

  • Expert Help@Hand – speak to a medical team of nurses, counsellors, midwives and pharmacists 24 hours a day, 365 days a year whenever you have a health worry, question about medication or treatment or simply need a little guidance.

The Healthcare Guide 1177 services build upon a common quality-assured medical database and comprise healthcare advice via telephone and Internet.

The British Airline Pilots’ Association (BALPA) is the professional association and registered trade union established to represent the interests of all UK pilots. The association holds the largest collective resource of commercial pilot qualification and experience in the UK.

Swedish Air Line Pilots Association (SPF) is an independent trade union confederation for all civilian professional pilots. SPF promotes safety, quality, good working environment and improvements in collective agreements concerning salaries’ and general conditions. 

Civil_Aviation_Authority_(United_Kingdom

The CAA regulates and implements medical requirements for professional flight crew, private pilots, air traffic controllers and cabin crew. Visit their site to search for an Aeromedical Examiner or find further resources to download.

GamCare is the leading national provider of information, advice, support and free counselling for the prevention and treatment of problem gambling. Our expert services are confidential and non-judgemental.

Headspace is an online resource which promotes mindfulness and practical meditation techniques by web resources and podcast. Widely used within the pilot community it can help with a wide range of scenarios, including sleep and resilience.

Mind is a UK based charity which aims to provide support and advice for all mental health problems. Mind is a great resource and provides immediate advice and support.

National Debtline a debt advice charity, with experts who care. Free help and advice on dealing with your debt in England and Wales. Call 0808 808 4000.

Articles, videos and tools from the NHS on more than 100 topics, including alcohol, diet, fitness, tiredness and weight loss, giving you and your family tips on healthy living.

Project Waypoint is an online resource for pilots. It seeks to address mental health topics within aviation as well as the psychological impact of specific aspects of the job (e.g. SIM Anxiety). At present you can view the demonstration topic of Depression.

Our Advice Service offers practical help on issues such as the Mental Health Act, community care, welfare benefits, criminal justice and carers rights. They also offer general help on living with mental illness, medication, care & treatment.

The Samaritans is a registered charity aimed at providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide throughout the UK and Ireland. You can access them through their confidential helpline or website.
